The store continues in OKHA’s tradition of a rich African heritage seamlessly integrated with the modern and simplistically elegant. OKHA is driven by a new visual language, a poetry free of cumbersome hyperbole and supercilious affectations, a philosophy of the natural and the clean. Creative director Adam Court emphasizes this new aesthetic, “We are shedding the needless and the fanciful, the whimsical and the mass produced that pollute our spaces and lives.”

The new store tells a story; it is a “living” space, a space that is as much about living in as it about living with. Form, freedom, and functionality become one as the divide between exterior and interior melts away and nature becomes the focal point of interior spaces.

The selection of products is meticulous; glassware by Gaia & Gino and Arik Levy designed pieces both bring the luxury and artistry of Turkey to our shores, while scented candles and room fragrances by Ex Voto, a Parisian parfumier, create an atmosphere of rich sensuality with scents of black ginger, Tuscan iris, and ginseng. Mohair throws and a warm colour palette promise to keep the cold outside this winter.
