Dear Colin,
We are working on new artwork for your July/August of Habitat, and will send you the artwork by the 7th June. We will not be repeating any of our previous ads.
My belief is that because of the interest in design that Habitat creates – we should have a new advert for every one of your issues – especially being a bi-monthly publication with a long shelf life. Therefore, we wish to use you for the debut of our more innovative premier designs.
Yours is still the one and only premier magazine of International class within South Africa. This is a challenge for us – our quest is to keep improving the image of our advertising until it matches the status of your superb editorials and other advertisements. We are getting there – and we continue to persevere.
Kindest Regards,
Ed Billes - Marketing Consultant for House of Motani

Climate Control 2012
I will always recall my first May – late-Autumn – in Johannesburg, many decades ago. I had arrived from the UK Spring and was renting a circa ‘50s bungalow in Craighall Park. We were chilled to the bone after dark; such were the thin walls and large areas of glass, flimsy curtains and no fireplaces. A puny electric heater did little to rectify the situation. This was an early lesson in climate control in South Africa.
DESIGN AND ARCHITECTURE
High Society
Perched above the city is the suburb of Örgryte: a lofty location that enjoys panoramic views which reach out to the west. Villa Woldu’s siting offers a stunning vista at the top of the road that climbs up from the main highway to Stockholm.
