Our Spring issue – Sept / Oct, No.219 – is currently being printed by the those excellent practitioners of the litho art: Tandym Print CC of Epping, Cape.
Sadly, our 3rd week August deadline coincided with the launch of the new Jaguar XJ and I missed that event. My peers are very complimentary about this thoroughbred premium saloon and we look forward to reviewing the XJ very shortly. Regular Habitat watchers will note subtle changes to layout: more white space, less – but better – images; reduced copy where appropriate and fine-tuning design-wise. We feel that this is the way forward; to continue to upgrade our content and layout, whilst still retaining the essence that is Habitat. Lucky me. I’m going to the UK, to the Goodwood Revival in mid-September and will visit Rolls Royce and Mini to check out latest developments. The Mobile Habitat is fascinating because cars are part of all our lives, that most recognised aspirant symbol of modern Western living. It’s Autumn in Europe but when I return it will be full Spring in SA, the season of renewal and hope. Enjoy it the full.
