WOMAG, South Africa’s leading supplier of natural stone and porcelain tiles, is proud to unveil four new collections debuting this winter in their Pretoria showroom.

The collection features ground-breaking design developments in both the production and printing of porcelain tiles. “It is absolutely incredible how new printing technologies make it possible to achieve patterns and finishes on porcelain to rival natural materials like wood and marble,” says Oren Sachs, managing director of WOMAG. “Often even an expert can’t tell the difference. We have selected some of the most innovative and exciting patterns for our latest collections.”

The new collections include:

Fusion Iris Natural uses digital printing technology to design the best high-end porcelain tiles. This new tile reinvents the perception of the traditional porcelain tile. Each large format tile (2500 x1000mm) features its own unique explosion of colour in a bold yet elegant design, boasting blue/green hues with a luxurious matt finish.

Touché Super Blanco Gris features an ultra-white surface, whiter than any porcelain tile before it. This provides an unparalleled background for the range’s exclusive classical marble-effect patterns, emphasising the beauty and depth of their marble effect with a high-gloss polished finish. Another large format tile at 2500 x1000mm, the appearance has been likened to a branch of grey veins.

Marmara Blanco Plus Natural, from the New Mármara Series, pays tribute to ivory-coloured marble, which is known for the luminosity it brings to living spaces. The marble-effect pattern of these large format tiles (available in two sizes 2500 x1000mm and 1000 x1000mm) have been carefully developed with eye-catching delicate veins that merge elegantly into an extra-smooth cream background.

Lastly, the new Mamawood Collection of indoor porcelain tiles (1220 x200mm) mimics the effects of distressed wood with an authentic faded paint effect accompanied by a matt finish. The collection delivers all the toughness, scratch resistance and waterproof qualities of porcelain with the appearance of wood. The Mamawood collection comes in three colourways – Antique White, Old Grey and Old Teak sporadic patches of brown wood.

The debut of WOMAG’s new collections at its Pretoria showroom form part of WOMAG’s 25th-anniversary celebrations. For a quarter of a century, WOMAG has stocked the largest variety of natural stone and porcelain tiles and tops for kitchens and bathrooms in South Africa.

“Quality, variety, affordability and innovation have always been our top priorities,” says Sachs. WOMAG’s factory is equipped with the most advanced machinery in South Africa, which enables the company to craft the finest stone into perfect tiles and customised countertops. Sachs regularly visits quarries abroad to source the best stone available and constantly explores innovative new production methods and technologies.

Last year, WOMAG introduced digital ink-jet 3D technology to its repertoire. This winter’s all-new collection of large porcelain tiles is manufactured with this cutting-edge technology, which combines the best of durability, fuss-free maintenance and beauty.
