Almanac Hotels is a new hospitality tastemaker developing iconic hotels in landmark locations. The first in the collection opened in December 2017 and is located on Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes. It has 91 rooms and has undergone a complete renovation over two years. Its prime location, only a stroll from Passeig de Gràcia, allows guests to prowl the streets for luxury shopping, or discover restaurants, bars and museums.

The redevelopment of the fundamental architecture and exterior melded two buildings from different eras into one seamless property. Within, the Jaime Beriestain Studio, has created a design palette of infinite refinement using a wealth of textures paired with handsome, seminal materials. Grey, beige and gold tones were chosen throughout, while accents of oak and walnut offer a subtle patina to create a warm welcoming space. Strategically placed antique mirrors complement the extensive use of marble from Ibiza. A particularly unique feature in many of the rooms is a bow window design that incorporates a sofa into a windowed nook. Called Cube Rooms, these open up the skyline views, allowing natural light to flood into the interiors.

NB: The pool and sun lounge remain exclusive to hotel residents and serve as the perfect place to relax and enjoy light bites.
