The jury for the Red Dot Award: Brands & Communication Design 2019 is full of enthusiasm. The international experts have bestowed the distinction “Red Dot: Brand of the Year” on the global sanitary brand GROHE. It is awarded to the best brand in an industry. Over several days, the experts scrutinised, discussed and assessed a total of 8,697 entries. With its outstanding design quality and extraordinarily consistent conveying of its own values across different channels, GROHE won over the experienced jurors. Besides GROHE, Deutsche Telekom and HappyGoal received the highest distinction in the “Brands” section.

„We are delighted about the award. It is an appreciation of the GROHE brand and its employees across more than 150 countries, who represent a consistent brand experience day in day out. At the same time, it recognizes the new path we took to emotionally charge the GROHE brand and its products in a holistic context, which gives it relevance way beyond the sanitary industry”, summarizes Thomas Fuhr, CEO Grohe AG, the award.

Renowned Award for Modern, Pioneering Brand Communication

On 1 November 2019, all eyes in the international design scene will be on GROHE, because on that evening the brand will receive its trophy at the Red Dot Gala. Professor Dr. Peter Zec, founder and CEO of the Red Dot Award, will hand over the trophy and has already congratulated the laureates: “Winning over the Red Dot Jury is no easy task. Our experts are very critical and inspect all of the entries very closely based on strict criteria before reaching a decision regarding a distinction. They also demonstrated this careful approach in particular in the newly introduced section for brands. All the more reason for the laureates of the Red Dot: Brand of the Year distinction to be proud of winning over the jury in all regards. Their leading position in brand communication is proof of their success in conveying a consistent brand image across different channels. I wish to congratulate the deserved laureates on their excellent performance and look forward to handing over their trophy to them in person as a symbol of their outstanding success in the Red Dot Award.”

After the award ceremony in the Konzerthaus in Berlin, the party will continue at the Designers’ Night. The winners’ exhibition “Design on Stage” will be presented there to the roughly 1,400 guests for one night only, and GROHE is also represented. In addition, the brand is included in the International Yearbook Brands & Communication Design 2019/2020, which comes out on 14 November and will be on sale worldwide.
