L’Abysse in Paris has been awarded with its first prestigious Michelin star.

Designed by gallerist and artist Laurence Bonnel, the decor echoes the delicate Japanese-inspired cuisine of Michelin starred chef Yannic Alleno.

For this project, Bonnel collaborated with contemporary artists, including William Coggin, Celia Bertrand and a mural comprised of 70 000 chopsticks designed by Tadashi Kawamata.

In best case scenarios, art, decor and cuisine enjoy close association and when these three elements are in synch. It guarantees a memorable dining experience.

There’s more than an element of delicacy evident in this finely curated venue, which exhibits subtle coordination and unique decoration. There is little doubt that what is presented on delicate crockery here justifies the Michelin accord.

If any of our readers are fortunate enough to be visiting The City of Light in the near future, here’s a venue that should evoke both sensory and aesthetic appreciation.
