Land Rover South Africa has hand-picked a selection of options to create a limited run of only 24 Range Rover Sports packing some serious visual punch. The special 5.0 V8 Supercharged HSE Dynamics incorporate a Black Pack featuring menacing black bonnet and tailgate lettering, grille mesh and inner grille surround, and finishing blades on the fenders and bonnet vents. The package also includes upsized 22” alloys finished in Gloss Black. The Range Rover’s roof is also contrast black, and further black accents can be found inside where the headliner is wrapped in Ebony Morzine trim, while seats are upholstered in Ebony Windsor Leather. Front seats are heated and cooled, and rear-seat passengers can enjoy entertainment on a pair of 8” display screens.
In addition to the black trimmings, the special Sport features a Drive Pro Pack with Blind Spot Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, High-speed Emergency Braking and Lane Keep Assist. A 360 degree Surround Camera uses four cameras to provide an overhead view of the vehicle, with capacity to display several different views at the same time to aid in parking in tight spaces. Configurable Ambient Interior Lighting will allow owners to set their own colour choice to offset the aggressive exterior, which is available in Fuji White, Indus Silver or Firenze Red. An added Soft Door Close feature allows the last 6mm of door travel to swing softly into the latches for minimal effort and noise.
Power comes from a 5.0 V8 Supercharged engine with 386kW and 625Nm fed through 8-speed automatic transmission. Acceleration from 0-100km/h happens in 5.3 seconds and maximum speed is set at 250km/h.
The limited-edition is priced from R1 992 500 including Land Rover’s standard 5-year/100 000km maintenance plan and warranty.
