On the 1st of September 2018, Weylandts opened the doors of its newest store, situated in the Ballito Lifestyle Centre, offering residents of the North Coast the ultimate furniture and homeware experience.

Each Weylandts store boasts a different theme that is unique to the area in which Weylandts stores are located – the Ballito store, for example, is themed around the concept of Living Fossils. The store has been inspired by the layered textures of coastal shorelines that have been shaped by the breaking of waves that leave behind the markings of time in the form of exposed coral, petrified wood, the delicate footprints of ancient creatures preserved in stone and boulders eroded by thousands of years of water.

Expect curated collections of unique, imported pieces and locally designed contemporary classics that will intrigue and inspire you to create the home that expresses who you are. Combining clean, contemporary forms with the raw textures of Mother Nature, Weylandts’ new retail space features bold design with soul.

Regarding the decision to open in Ballito, Weylandts Founder and CEO, Chris Weylandt, shares: “With the North Coast developing at a fast pace, as well as offering a lifestyle and type of customer that is a great fit for our brand, we had been exploring the viability of opening a Weylandts retail operation in Ballito for over two years. Having done the necessary market research and visiting Ballito on numerous occasions to assess the growth, lifestyle and retail demand, we finally made the decision that there was a definite opportunity for us to service the Ballito and surrounding markets. As a national brand, getting into a smaller emerging market like this is a great opportunity.”

He continues: “After exploring various stand-alone destination sites along the N2, we were approached by Bruce Rencken, owner of the recently revamped Ballito Lifestyle Centre and we felt that there is a definite synergy between the Centre’s new-look offering and our brand. We also feel that it makes beautiful living easy since it is a prime location easily accessed from the M4 and N2 and caters to the specific, laidback lifestyle of Ballito residents.”

Get to the Ballito Lifestyle Centre and step into a world of beautiful living with Weylandts.
